Lapmetry
What's new
Every version, curated and written for drivers — the same notes the app shows after an update.
v0.10.1
16 August 2026HotfixFixed- The what's-new page is reliably populated right after an update
v0.10.0
16 August 2026Added- Share your driver profile and the link now unfurls in Discord & co. as a proper timing card: your name, your fastest lap, your pace index.
- New **"What's new"** page on lapmetry.com — every improvement, release by release, readable without signing in.
- The live view now shows your **theoretical best** (best sectors combined) — the classic "what was in it".
- New **system check** in the settings: six status lights show at a glance whether cloud, account, sim, capture and storage are ready — and what to do if not.
v0.9.0
16 August 2026Changed- The desktop app is tidied up and reorganised: every sim now has its own area with an overview, matching widgets and stats — including live status right in the sidebar.
- New: stats from your local laps (best times per track/car, recent activity) — per sim and across all.
- The widget gallery now shows previews and marks which widgets your sim can feed (e.g. radar is ACC-only).
v0.8.0
15 August 2026Changed- The landing page now tells its story as you scroll: a lap drives across the track map — with a live delta and coach callouts exactly where the time is. Four product views show the telemetry viewer, coach, leaderboard and overlays just as they look in the app. And at the end, the start lights go out.
v0.7.0
15 August 2026Changed- **New name, same mission: Overcut is now Lapmetry.** Lap meets telemetry — every lap becomes a measurement. The platform now lives at **lapmetry.com**, the desktop app is called Lapmetry and wears a new logo. Your account, laps and references carry over unchanged.
- The demo login is now `demo@napolitano.dev` / `lapmetry-demo`.
- Desktop users: please **sync once before installing the new version** — the renamed app starts with a fresh local data store.
v0.6.0
12 August 2026Changed- Every page now has its own address per language — `lapmetry.com/en/…` and `/de/…`. A link you share opens in the language you copied it in, and search engines can find both versions.
- Open Lapmetry without a language in the link and you land in yours automatically — it is remembered from then on.
v0.5.2
12 August 2026HotfixFixed- Fixed delivery of the multilingual release
v0.5.1
12 August 2026HotfixFixed- Language switcher now renders correctly in the desktop app
v0.5.0
12 August 2026Added- Lapmetry now speaks **German and English** — the website, the desktop app and all coaching text. Switch language in the settings; your account remembers the choice, so it follows you to every device you sign in on.
- On first start Lapmetry follows your browser's or operating system's language.
Changed- Dates, numbers and prices now follow your language. Lap times and deltas deliberately stay the same everywhere (`1:43.207`, `+0.312`) — that is how motorsport writes them.
- Your training plan now switches language with you instead of staying in the language it was created in.
v0.4.5
12 August 2026HotfixFixed- Sessions without a completed lap no longer show up as pending — the session list and the sync agree again.
v0.4.4
12 August 2026HotfixFixed- Widgets now open reliably, and capture can be restarted immediately after stopping it.
v0.4.3
12 August 2026HotfixFixed- Lapmetry now connects to a running sim automatically, has a demo mode for testing without a game, shows a connection log in the settings — and the guide explains the LMU plugin setting you need.
v0.4.2
12 August 2026HotfixFixed- New app icon with proper transparency, a startup that no longer hangs when a sim session is already running, and connection statuses that explain themselves.
v0.4.1
12 August 2026HotfixFixed- The Windows installer and the update feed are delivered reliably again.
v0.4.0
12 August 2026Added- Lapmetry now learns the layout of tracks it does not know yet: drive one clean lap and the map appears — in the cockpit, in the track map widget, and for everyone else on that circuit.
- Coach and reference comparison now fall back to your own personal best when there is no community reference for your combination yet.
- Lap against lap: compare two of your own laps on the same car and track, directly in the session view.
- Two new overlays: a spotter radar (ACC) and a live track map. Every widget can be scaled and dimmed to taste.
- The desktop app installs properly on Windows and updates itself from within the app.
v0.3.1
11 August 2026HotfixFixed- The Windows app starts reliably again and shows its icon.
v0.3.0
11 August 2026Added- Assetto Corsa Competizione is fully supported — including live delta, fuel, tyre and brake temperatures straight from the game.
- The desktop app has been rebuilt: pit-wall live view, overlay widgets, a built-in guide, and onboarding that gets you to your first recorded lap in three minutes.
v0.2.0
10 August 2026Added- Public driver profiles, leaderboards and the waitlist for the closed beta.
